The Soil Association has produced
Mole's Dream, a short animation to explore current issues around food and farming. It is suitable for KS1 and early KS2, and ideal to use on your
interactive whiteboard. In the story, Mole dreams of leaving a land of factory farms to find a home with sustainable farming, free range animals and wildlife.
The animation can be played as a story followed by some class discussion, or as a springboard into more detailed work on soil, animal welfare, food chains and food miles through the supporting materials. These will help deliver lessons around Science, Geography, PSHE and Citizenship.
Please note, to run this animation you must have Adobe Flash Player installed. To install or update your Flash Player, please visit the Adobe website.
